Lens housing turning process - uses NC lathe to finish turn housing with compensation for lens mfr. errors

The machine can finish turn the lens housing in one set-up on an NC lathe. The system enables the housing to be turned to accurate dimensions. Measured deviations of the dia. and thickness of the lenses (1, 2, 3, 4) from the desired values together with the calculated nominal distances between lenses are used to calculate the offsets which need to be applied to the programmed axes of the lathe.
