A hose-union bib-cock has a tubular inlet (2) and a tubular outlet (3), a shut-off valve (15) and associated housing (4) interposed between the inlet (2) and outlet (3), and two check valves (17, 18) in the inlet and outlet which allow flow of liquid in the normal direction, but not the reverse. The shut-off valve housing (4) has an axial bore (7) which communicates with the inlet (2) and a shut-off valve seat (8) disposed upstream of the connection to the outlet (3). The bib-cock body (1) is formed as an integral component. The check valves (17, 18) are held in place in the inlet and outlet bores by demountable members (20, 23) so as to be removable from the bores. A test port (12) to test in service the operation of the downstream check valve also serves to drain liquid between the two check valves. <IMAGE> |
