PURPOSE:To complete a caulking work in a single motion and to stabilize fabrication qualities and to adapt a single kind of machine to different height works by utilizing a piston operated by compressed air to apply a percussive inertia force on a chisel. CONSTITUTION:On communicating the supply side of compressed air to the atomosphere, a piston 9 is retained at the rear end of a cylinder 1 through the biasing force of a spring 11, and the tip of a chisel 3 at the most projected position through the biasing force of a spring 5. Next, on interrupting the communication of compressed air supply to the atmosphere and on thrusting a chisel adapter 20 on the caulked part of a work, the tip 4 is retreated into the inside of a cylinder 1 to relieve a ball-shaped valve 16 from a valve seat 15 and compressed air enters rapidly into a chamber 23 passing a clearance between the valve 16 and the seat 15. The piston 9 is displaced percussively to the front end 2 of the cylinder 1 to apply a percussive inertia force on the rear end 8 of the chisel 3 and to generate a prescribed caulking. |
