PURPOSE:To firmly connect materials without deteriorating the characteristic of the materials, by placing a thin metal being different from the material to be connected, between butt parts of both the materials to be connected, and cold-pressing them. CONSTITUTION:Press-contact dies 4 and 4 are moved in the direction as indicated with an arrow, both metallic materials 1 and 1 to be connected are butted against each other, and are cold-pressed in a state that a metallic material 2 to be inserted is placed between said materials. The first butt surface of both the metallic materials 1 and 1 and the inserted metallic material 2 are extruded as a burr 5, are removed, and both the metallic materials 1 and 1 are connected by means of press-contacting. As for both the metallic materials, this method is applicable to not only the same materials but also different materials. |
