摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain an antibiotic substance useful as a fungicidal and miticidal agent for plant, by culturing a microbial strain belonging to Streptoverticillium genus in a medium containing a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A mildiomycin-producing strain belonging to Streptoverticillium genus [e.g. Streptoverticillium rimofacients) IFO 13952 (FERM P-2549)] is cultured in a medium containing a compound of formula I (R is H, halogen, lower alkyl or hydroxymethyl) and preferably further an N-methyl compound in an amount of >=3mM to produce and accumulate the compound of formula II or its acid salt in the cultured product.
