摘要 An atomiser wheel (1) has a hub (2), a floor (4), a circumferential wall (5) and a cover (6) which bound a shell-shaped fluid supply chamber (8) in the atomiser wheel (1), an annular opening (7) which serves to supply fluid to the chamber (8) being provided between the cover (6) and the hub (2). Outlet openings for the expulsion of fluid are constructed as a number of channels (9) attached at equally large intervals from one another in the circumferential direction and extending through the floor (4) of the atomiser wheel. As a result, it is ensured that fluid droplets are expelled by the atomiser into a larger area of the space than by known atomiser wheels provided with outlet openings in the side walls, which, together with the movement pattern for the expelled fluid droplets, reduces the probability of a collision of said droplets in the critical phase of the drying process when their surfaces are so sticky that they tend to form agglomerations of two or more bonded drops. As a result, the material density in the dried product can be increased by reducing the intermediate air spaces between the particles of said product. By attaching the channels (9) in such a way that their, viewed in the radial direction, outer boundary (12) is located at a distance inside the inner surface (13) of the circumferential wall (5), the fluid can be centrifuged and air possibly present in it can be driven out, as a result of which the presence of internal cavities in the dried particles can be reduced and the material density of the dried product can be increased. <IMAGE>
