PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photosensitive material having superior solubility and dispersion stability and color developability by incorporating a specified yellow coupler. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide color photosensitive material contains in at least one layer a yellow coupler represented by the formula shown here in which R1 is tertiary alkyl or aryl; R2 is halogen or alkoxy; R3 is H, halogen, alkoxy, alkyl, or carbonamido, preferably, H, halogen, or alkoxy; R4 is alkyl or alkenyl; R5 is nitro, cyano, carboxy, sulfo, alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, carbamoyl, acyl, alkylsulfonyl; arylsulfonyl; alkoxysulfonyl, or sulfamoyl, preferably, nitro, carboxy, alkylsuofonyl, or the like; and R6 is H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, carboxy, nitro, or alkoxycarbonyl. |
