The race track for toy cars consists of an inner track & outer track for two racing cars. Another car representing a damaged car, is located between the tracks, acting as an obstacle to the progress of the other cars. The tracks have conductor rails enabling current to be fed selectively to the rear wheels(45) of the two cars for steering and power supply. The movement of the damaged car is controlled by a steering linkage for the front wheels (44) which incorporates a rack & pinion mechanism, the pinion having a slotted crank portion.
