PURPOSE:To prevent hazard of shocking eliminating post-treatment such as washing by interposing a sponge-like conductive elastic body between metal plates as power application side electrodes and as ground side electrodes and an electrically insulated protective tool in a withstand voltage test for a framed cover or the like. CONSTITUTION:A sponge-like conductive elastic body, for example, a conductive foam rubbers 14 are so arranged for a framed cover 11 as to be interposed properly between the cover 11 and an aluminum plate 12 as power application side electrides and an aluminum plate 13 and plates 12 and 13 as ground side electrodes. A weight plate 15 presses the electrodes to deform the elastic body 14 so much to help them adhere to the cover 11 completely regardless of any arc or irregularities present on the cover 11. Under such a condition, a withstand voltage testing is performed for the cover 11 between the electrodes 12 and 13. With such an arrangement, the same effect is provided as would be when the electrodes directly adheres to the cover 11 perfectly by overcoming any ac and irregularities on the cover 11 thereby enabling the withstand voltage test without trouble. This eliminates the post-treatment such as washing preventing hazard of shocking. |
