<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a power from being consumed wastefully and deterioration in a CRT picture by long time display occurring by automatically disconnecting a power source by detecting the fact that an idling state exceeds constant time. CONSTITUTION:An operating system 2 starts up an idle task 3 when the idling state that is a state to await an operating instruction is set, and the idle task 3 adds (one) on the content of a power source disconnection counter 5 at every constant time. When the idling state continues for the constant time, the power source disconnection counter 5 generates an overflow signal that is a power source disconnection signal when it arrives at an overflow state that is a prescribed value, and a power source control circuit 6 stops the supply of the power to every part in a data processor 1. In such a way, it is possible to prevent the power from being consumed wastefully, and to prevent the deterioration in the CRT picture data to the long time display occurring.</p> |
