PURPOSE:To reduce the fluctuation of cooling/heating capacity by controlling the compressor frequency based on the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger and providing a data compensating timer respectively for compressor frequency control, damper control and air supply rate control. CONSTITUTION:In a duct type air conditioner 20, the operating frequency of the compressor 21 is controlled through an inverter 31 in response to the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger 23 as measured by a temperature sensor 34. The central processing unit 36 has a data compensating timer which regulates the variable capacity compressor 21, dampers 28a-28d and fan 30 respectively when they have not been controlled for a specified time interval so as to reduce the fluctuation of cooling/heating capacity. Also, the temperature fluctuation in respective rooms can be reduced by maintaining the opening of the dampers 28a-28d within a specified range less than the fully opened position and increasing the air supply rate by the fan 30. Moreover, the set temperature of the indoor heat exchanger 23 is regulated to suit the air conditioning load so as to make the low load operation highly efficient. Thus, the fluctuation of cooling/heating capacity can be reduced. |
