PURPOSE:To carry out the processing of scallions, etc. continuously, in high efficiency, by using an apparatus wherein the scallion is fixed with a clamp, the top and the bottom part of the scallion are cut off during transfer, and the clamping of the bulb is released to drop the processed scallion in a container. CONSTITUTION:The scallion-clamping device 16 is rotated around the axis 6 with a motor. When a scallion, etc. is placed horizontally on the table 17 of the clamping device, the pressing plate 23 moves downward to clamp and fix the scallion. The clamping device holding the scallion is moved to the position between the photoelectric tubes P-P, and the light beam is intercepted with the antenna, causing the actuation of the rotary solenoids 30, 31 and rotation of the stalk (top) cutting edge 32 and the root (bottom) cutting edge 33 to cut off the stalk and the root. After cutting, the pressing plate of the clamping device is pushed upward, and the remaining bulb is discharged with the rubber plate 34. |
