The free end (3) of the belt (1) has a width which is pref. half the original belt width. In the vicinity of the hand grip (4) there is a central slot (5) extending across the belt longitudinal direction. The slot length corresponds to the width of the belt free end part and through the slot is inserted the free end part when the rib cage of a patient is compressed. - To compress the rib cage, the operator holds the hand grip with one hand, and with the other hand draws the free belt end through the slot. |
