PURPOSE:To make it easy to cut, grind, machine, etc. by heating a work in a specified temperature range before machining. CONSTITUTION:After casting an alloy of Fe-Cr-Co, it is given heating treatment at 400-900 deg.C for from a few minutes to several days before the alloy is subject to machining such as cutting with a grinder, grinding, cutting, etc. in order to make the alloy brittle appropriately. The mechanism of brittleness obtained by this heating treatment is considered to be the brittleness due to crystallization of alpha phase and the brittleness due to two-phase crystallization of alpha1 and alpha2 phases from alpha phase and alphagamma phase and the brittleness that combines those two brittlenesses suitably. Under the condition of crystallization of those different phases cutting is applied, and then the work is given magnetizing heat treatment to develop martensite transformation, and a permanent magnet of a specified shape can be obtained. |
