DEVICE FOR CHANGEOVER FROM ORDINARY SEWING TO EMBROIDERY SEWING IN SEWING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To reduce both the number of motors and the weight of a sewing machine and simplify a structure by connecting a stepping motor for controlling the operation of ordinary sewing and a stepping motor for controlling the operation of an embroidery frame to respective changeover devices. CONSTITUTION:A needle bar controller and a driving controller in the X- direction for an embroidery frame are driven with the first stepping motor and a feed controller and a driving controller in the Y-direction of the embroidery frame are driven with the second stepping motor. A changeover device (A) for the needle bar controller and the driving controller in the X-direction of the embroidery frame and a changeover device (B) for the feed controller and the driving controller in the Y-direction of the embroidery frame are provided to change over also a power transmission passage of the first stepping motor by rotation of the second stepping motor in changeover from the ordinary mode to the embroidery mode.
