PURPOSE:To reduce installation cost by providing a scale breaker of tension- leveler type and a brushing device for scale-scraping as well as a continuous pickling bath in sequence to the front of a cold rolling installation. CONSTITUTION:A descaling equipment 1, consisting of a scale breaker 7 of tension-lever type and a brushing device 8 for scale-scraping, is provided to the front of a continuous cold rolling installation 3. Further, a dipping type pickling device 2 is arranged in series. A steel strip S provided with 2-5% elongation by the scale breaker 7, is descaled by the brushing device 8 and is fed into the pickling path 2. At that time, the sheet passing speed of a strip S is kept approximately uniform, also in pickling, in the longitudinal direction. Accordingly, the continuous pickling, cold rolling and annealing can be performed, and the need for a long-sized looper is eliminated. Therefore, the installation cost is reduced. |
