DEVICE FOR REMOVING BELT OF PAPER LEAF BUNDLE

PURPOSE:To securely remove a belt from paper leaves in a bundle by a method wherein a belt scraping means enters between a cut belt and the paper leaves to scrape out the belt and the scraped belt is held by a belt removing means. CONSTITUTION:Under control of a bundle handling controller a small belt cutter 412 rotates to cut a small belt (k). A bundle H is further carried so that a scraping motor 418 activates and a scraping member 415 also rotates together with rotation of a pin 420 as a support shaft 413 as the supporting point so that a scraping claw 414 enters between the paper leaves C and the small belt (k) to scrape away the small belt (k). Then due to reverse rotation of a scraping motor 418 the scraped small belt (k) is further carried by a bundle carrying means. The small belt catch of a small belt holding part 423 is driven to closing state to re-hold the small belt (k). Thus with two holding operations of the small belt catch, the small belt (k) can be securely removed even if the small belt (k) has been doubly wound for example.
