The apparatus for melting waste comprises (a) a furnace body incl. a non-metallic side wall, an upper lid with a waste inlet, a discharge outlet and bottom plate, (b) an induction heating coil at external portion of side wall and (c) a waste melting vessel comprising material selected from C-SiC and C-Al2O3 based ceramics, located on the bottom plate whereby waste in the vessel is melted by induced current. The waste melting vessel has a small discharge pipe extending downwardly into a trough hole and a container communicating with the discharge pipe to receive the melt as well as a rectangular for the discharge having at least one compressed air injection nozzle directed towards the outlet to cool the melt.
