The present invention comes within the sphere of a datacom process for referring to documents consisting of pages, the said process consisting, on the one hand, in entering the said documents and storing them in the form of a database and, on the other hand, in consulting the said database with a view to selecting at least one page and in printing it, the said process employing entry means 1, storage means 2, consulting/selecting means 4 and printing means 5, each of the said means being connected separately to a central system 3 of computers in which server software managing the said means 1, 2, 4, 5 is installed. In order to prevent the implementation of this process from being hampered by the need to buy or shut down specific consulting/selecting means 4 and printing means 5, the present invention provides: - for the said consulting/selecting means 4 to consist of at least one Minitel type videotex terminal; - for the said printing means 5 to consist of at least one fax machine; and - for the said central system 3 of computers to be connected to the telephone network. <IMAGE>
