The invention relates to a motor vehicle rear suspension assembly of the type in which each of the two opposite wheels 20, 22 is carried by a longitudinal arm 12, 14, the front ends 54, 80 of each of the arms being connected to a cross-member 10 which can be deformed elastically in torsion about its axis X-X, the assembly formed by the cross-member and the two arms being connected to the structure of the vehicle by two articulation bearings 42, 44 arranged respectively close to the two transverse ends 51, 52 of the cross-member. According to the invention, the front end 54 of one, 12, of the arms is rigidly fixed and rotationally linked to a portion 46 of the cross-member, and the front end 80 of the other arm 14 is rigidly fixed and rotationally linked to a sleeve 56 mounted so that it is coaxial and can rotate on another opposite portion of the cross-member and on which one of the two articulation bearings 44 is arranged. <IMAGE>
