NEW MATERIAL:L-52-71A substance and L-52-71B substance having the following physical and chemical properties. Properties of the L5271A: weakly acidic substance. Molecular formula: C56H68N10S2O14. Molecular weight: MH<+> 1169 (FAB-mass). Elemental analysis: C 57.50, H 5.88, H 11.86, S 5.57. Color reaction: positive in potassium permanganate reaction and iodine reaction, Dragendorff reaction and negative in ferric chloride reaction, etc. USE:A remedy for microbism and an animal growth promoting agent. PREPARATION:A bacterium such as Streptomyces sp. L52-71 (FERM P-10639), belonging to the genus Streptomyces is cultured in a medium at pH7 at 28-33 deg.C for 3-4 days. |
