<p>A torque measurement system for a wheel, such as a bicycle or exercise bicycle wheel is disclosed where in the torque induced relative rotation between a hub and driven axle is multiplied within the hub by a lever mechanism by a factor of up to about 10 before being read by sensors incorporated into the hub. By this means a relatively small torque induced movement comprising a relative rotation between the driven axle and the hub of only about 1 degree is linearly converted to a figure many times larger which can be conveniently read.</p> |
