PURPOSE: To produce a polymer rope having an optimally jagged surface by additionally providing teeth to the cutting disks of one of grooved rollers at the time of reprocessing of an unvulcanized rubber and to enhance raw material treatment quantity. CONSTITUTION: Each of grooved rolls 1, 2 is formed by alternately arranging cutting disks 12 provided with teeth 11 and having a relatively large diameter and friction disks 13 (free from a tooth) having a relatively small diameter within the range of the outer cylindrical surfaces thereof. When the grooved rolls 1, 2 are rotated, an unvulcanized rubber material is supplied in the width corresponding to the grooved roll width in the max. The rubber material is cut into ropes 18 having a determined width by the vertical side surfaces of the cutting discs 12 and the friction discs 13 and, at the same time, a jagged surface is provided to the ropes by the aid of the teeth 11 and, when a long skin or a rubber ball is processed, a feed roll 16 is used and the material is fed in the gap between the grooved rolls 1, 2. By stopping or reversing the feed roll 16, the material is burst and the desired length of each rubber rope 18 is obtained. |
