PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin, having a great antioxidizing effect, and resistant to the continuous molding for a long term, by melting a low-melting phenolic antioxidant (POI) and a high-melting POI simultaneously, emulsifying both, and adding the emulsion to an emulsion or suspension of a polymerized rubber-modified resin after the polymerization. CONSTITUTION:(A) 0.005-3pts.wt. phenolic antioxidant (POI) having <100 deg.C melting point, e.g. di-tert-butyl-p-cresol, and (B) POI having >=100 deg.C melting point, e.g. 2,2'-methylene-bis(4-ethyl-6-tert-butylphenol), at 0.1-0.7 weight ratio between the components (B) and (A) are previously molten and emulsified, and the resultant emulsion is then added to a rubber-modified styrene resin, e.g. ABS resin latex, in the emulsified or suspended state after the polymerization. |
