The windscreen wiper comprises: a casing 2 suitable for being driven relative to a supporting structure with a reciprocating rotational movement by a drive shaft 4; at least one windscreen wiper arm 5 mounted in the casing 2 with the facility of sliding in the radial direction and means C for controlling the slidings of the arm. The control means C comprise: crank means 8 wedged onto a drive shaft 9 carried by the casing 2 and capable of being set in rotation with respect to the casing 2 during the movement of the latter; a linking member 10 articulated to a point 11 on the crank means 8 remote from the drive shaft 9 and connected, at its other end, to an articulation 12 provided on a rigid element 13 equipped with a second articulation 14 providing the connection with an end of the windscreen wiper arm 5. Orientation means 15 are furthermore provided for giving the straight line joining the articulations 12, 14 of the rigid element a direction which is dependent on that of the crank means 8 during the rotation of these, so that the abovementioned second articulation 14 drives the windscreen wiper arm in radial translation. …<IMAGE>… |
