PURPOSE:To obtain a remedy for preventing and treating pseudorabies containing specific crude drugs as active ingredients without causing any problems in formation of strongly toxic viruses and residual vaccine, etc., in animal bodies caused by administration of the vaccine. CONSTITUTION:A preventive and treating agent containing one or two or more crude drugs selected from the group consisting of Caryophylli Flos, Schizonepetae Spica, Artemisiae Folium, Perilla Herba, Rhei Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radix, Moutan Cortex, Paeoniae Radix, Houttuyniae Herba, Artemisiae Capillaris Spco, Loniceras Flos, Cinammoni Cortex, Eucommiae Cortex, Eriobotryae Folium and Forysythiae Fructus as active ingredients. The crude drugs are administered and used in the form of intact crude drug parent chemicals, cut substances thereof, roughly crushed, powdery or granular substances, extract solution obtained by extracting active ingredients of the crude drugs with water or other solvents, diluted or concentrated extracted solutions. The dose thereof is 0.001-10g/kg/day for oral administration and 0.01mg to 1g/kg/day for parenteral administration expressed in terms of the dried crude drug parent chemicals. |
