System for safety injection of cooling water into a primary circuit of a pressurised-water nuclear reactor in the event of leakage comprises at least two trains each with a set of pumps passing water from a reservoir outside the safety enclosure via a main pipe to a distributor drum inside the enclosure and then via distributing pipes into the circuit cold arms, with a block valve in the main pipe outside the enclosure and a non-return valve in each distributing pipe. An auxiliary pipe tapped off outside the enclosure has a block valve and branches inside the enclosure to communicate with a hot arm, and secondly with a distributing pipe downstream of a clack valve in the pipe, each branch including a clack valve.
