Elevational steering device for video monitor, especially of videophone, including at least one cathode display tube 2 immobilised inside a casing 4, in the front part of which the screen of the tube is visible. The casing 4 is fastened to a plinth 5 by a first articulation arrangement 11 which, fixed on the one hand near a rear end of the tube, and on the other hand to the plinth, allows limited rotation of this end of the tube with respect to the plinth, as well as by a second arrangement 15 which is positioned between the plinth and the tube, some distance from the first arrangement, and which allows a movement of a point at which the casing bears on the said plinth in at least a component parallel to the lower support face 10 of the plinth, during the rotation of the rear end of the tube. <IMAGE>
