Device for carrying out highlighting work (tinting or bleaching) in hairdressing. The invention relates to the creation of a notched paintbrush which makes it possible to carry out highlighting work without "knitting" directly on a chosen hair thickness. It consists of: - a plastic handle which is tapered at its lower end 1; - an implantation of bristles at regular intervals over the wide part of the paintbrush 2; - a hard plastic sheath device acting as a guide and preventing too great a spreading-out of the end of the bristles during use 3. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for the techniques of tinting and bleaching hair. <IMAGE>
