PURPOSE: To apply a data communication system including a hand-held device and an infrared ray communication satellite to communication, information, maintenance, diagnosis and training purpose by using the system for exchange of data among a host computer, a personal computer, the hand-held and a factory process controller. CONSTITUTION: The basis building block comprises a network device including one infrared ray satellite unit 10 being a component of the radio communication system or over, a number of node point devices that use the radio communication system, and one network interface module 12 or over in a common communication network by which the node points is used for communication with network devices such as a host computer 13, a process controller 14 or other personal computer 15 and a factory control processor 16. The basic building device activates the hand-held unit 17. Thus, the application scope of the system is extended up to communication, information, maintenance, diagnosis and training purpose. |
