<p>PURPOSE:To use an electronic book as a substitute for paper to realize the same function as a book, a newspaper, or a magazine by providing a device which reads information of characters or the like which are divided to pages and are stored in a storage device and displaying storing and reproducing an underline in a specific position on the display screen of one page. CONSTITUTION:An electronic book 1 having the same function as a book, a newspaper, or a magazine is used as a substitute for paper. Keys 3 which freely move a cursor, keys 3 which settle the cursor position, and a key 3 which displays an underline in the range from a certain display position to another position are provided, and the position of the underline is stored in a storage device and can be reproduced. Thus, consumption of paper as resources is reduced, and not only the space for book preservation is reduced but also the underline is displayed on the display screen to give the same convenience as underlining of a book, a newspaper, or a magazine.</p> |
