PURPOSE:To provide a medical treating table which is optimum to medical treatment for obstetrics and gynecology by a method wherein the seat part of a patient on a medical treating table is obliquely raised from a lowering position to a rising position in a frontward upward direction through a parallel link mechanism, and height is regulated without longitudinally changing the position of a placing part raised to a rising position. CONSTITUTION:Through rocking drive in directions (a) and (a') of a first parallel link mechanism 13 centering around rotation fulcrums 14a based on a lower bracket 12 by means of a first drive means 19, the first parallel link mechanism 13 can be driven for rocking between a fall position where the link mechanism falls approximately horizontally to the rear side of the lower bracket 12 and a rise position where the link mechanism is risen at a given angle frontwardly upwardly from the fall position. Since the first parallel link mechanism 13 performs parallel movement, a placing part 1 can be elevated in directions (a) and (a') between a lowering position and a rise position in a frontward upward direction therefrom through parallel movement. When the height of the placing part 1 is regulated, a second parallel link mechanism 16 is driven for rocking in the directions of arrow marks (d) and (d') around rotation fulcrums 17a based on an intermediate bracket 15 by means of a second drive means 20, and height can be regulated without changing the seat part of a patient on the placing part 1 in the direction of an arrow mark (e).
