The subject matter of the invention is a process for synthesis of sulfonylimidides of general formula M[(RSO2)2N]y, in which M represents a metal chosen from among the alkaline metals, the alkaline-earth metals, the rare-earths, Al, Sc, Y and Th, R represents a monovalent radical chosen from among the aliphatic radicals, having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, linear or branched, the alicyclic radicals having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, the arylic radicals having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, and y being a number equal to the valency ofM; and characterised by the fact that an ionic nitride of formula M3Ny in which M and y have the significance given above, is made to react with a sulfonyl halide corresponding to the formula RSO2X in which R has the significance given above, and X is chosen from F or Cl, in a polar aprotic solvent. |
