A tundish for molten metal has a front wall (1) with an opening (3) through it. A plate (5) is fitted into the opening (3) and is retained therein. The plate (5) has an opening through it. By replacing the plate (5) with a similar plate, but having the opening at a different vertical level, the tundish can feed horizontal continuous casting moulds (19) of different cross-sections. |
