A method for continuously checking a screen display for signal reliability is specified. The image data, which are processed in parallel in two mutually independent channels and are stored in frame buffers (BWS1, BWS2) of two screen drive computers (VC1, VC2), are read back by the screen drive computers following a signal from a higher-level computer system (MEM) with signal reliability, and are in this case logically combined with a redundancy polynomial. The test redundancies thus formed are transmitted to the higher-level computer system for comparison. The higher-level computer system triggers a reliability response if the test redundancies transmitted do not correspond or do not arrive at the correct time. <IMAGE> |
