The transmission system allows a number of transmitters (101, 201, 301) to supply information to at least one receiver (5) via a common transmission line (4). Each transmitter (101, 201, 301) provides a rectangular signal with a frequency or pulse ratio which is modulated by the information to be transmitted and is divided by a factor which is a defined power of a basic number, this power being different for each transmitter (101, 201, 301). The signals provided by all the transmitters (101, 201, 301) are combined via a logic before transmission, with evaluation of the pulses at the receiver (5) dependant on their pulse position. ADVANTAGE - Allows high transmission density.
