PURPOSE: To enable easy fixture of a rod with no influence of fixing force by a method wherein a rod is brought into contact with a frame work and the rod is fixed on one hand, and the cubic volume of frame works is divided into two each parts on the other hand. CONSTITUTION: A laser medium is formed by two rods 2 having two surfaces facing each other, the side faces 4a and 4b of the rods 2 indirectly form a wall part, and a light exciting means is supported by the facing cubic volumes corresponding to the pumping surfaces 3a and 3b of the rods 2. Also, a supporting means 7 is fixed by inserting a rod 2 into frame works 6a and 6b while the rod 2 is being contacted to the frame works 6a and 6b, and the cubic volume is divided into two parts. Accordingly, the supporting means has intrinsic elasticity for the purpose of electrically grasping the rod 2, and the supporting means 7 comes in contact at least with a region in the vicinity of the circumference of the pumping surfaces 3a and 3b. As a result, the influence of fixing power is eliminated, and a laser, having the fixing structure with which the side face of the rod 2 is separated from the cooling fluid, can be obtained. |
