摘要 <p>A multi-channel filter (10) sorts, classifies and removes noise or unwanted signals from signals of interest. The filter performs real time optical parallel signal processing to effectively channelize and remove unwanted spectra from the various signals of interest in a dense radio frequency environment. This transforms a signal channel that is corrupted with unwanted signals, interference and noise into a number of discrete channels which are spectrally tailored to selected signals of interest. The filtering process is accomplished by modulating a laser carrier with the signal of interest and performing all filtering functions optically and then down-converting the filtered signals to their original radio frequency. Elements of the invention include an acousto-optic modulator (20), a holographic Fourier transform lens (24), an integrated cube beam splitter (28) for producing a signal beam array (72), and a reference beam array (70), an adaptive notching filter (32), a holographic power spectrum filter (34), a holographic inverse Fourier transform lens (40) and a photomixer array (92).</p>
