<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate control over an accessor mechanism part and eliminate the need for a complicate control program, and to improve write/read processing efficiency by sectioning movement ranges by accessor mechanism parts by an accessor control part and performing control. CONSTITUTION:The border position partitioning the ranges where the accessor mechanism parts 15 and 16 move is determined corresponding to the model wherein accessor control parts 10 and 11 constitute the mass storage device, and the accessor mechanism parts 15 and 16 are selected and controlled according to the addresses of a movement origin and a movement destination that a host device outputs. Consequently, no complicate control program is required and the accessor mechanism parts 15 and 16 are controlled to carry a recording medium, so the write/read processing efficiency is improved.</p> |
