PURPOSE:To improve the data transmission characteristic by controlling ON/ OFF of a compander circuit at the selection of a CSC channel and resetting the compander circuit to OFF only at the transmission through the CSC channel. CONSTITUTION:A compander control circuit 12 is connected to the compressor circuit 3 of a transmission side base band section and to the expander circuit 8 of a reception side base band section. The compander control circuit 12 applies the control operation of a common line signal (CSC) necessary for the demand assign operation and resets the compander circuit 11 to OFF for the CSC channel transmission only. Thus, a BER(Bit Error Rate) characteristic at data transmission is improved and the degradation in the transmission characteristic of a burst data by the transient characteristic of the compander is prevented. |
