<p>The invention relates to thermoplastic compositions containing an effective internal lubricating amount of a branched guerbet alcohol derived ester having formula (I), wherein R is hydrogen, -CO-alkyl or -CO-alkenyl; each R' is independently alkyl or alkenyl, said alkyl or alkenyl radicals having from 5 to 25 carbon atoms; each R'' is independently hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; m and n are each integers having a value of from 0 to 150; p is an integer having a value of from 4 to 12 and s is an integer having a value of from 2 to 36.
