Apparatus for separating a pot (3) from a web (7) of thermoplastics material and forming a substantially symmetrical flange thereon comprising a cutting and trimming die having lower die means (1) including a mandrel (2) for supporting said pot (3) and upper die means (4) incorporating first (5) and second (6) spaced cutting edges movable with respect to the mandrel (2) wherein said first cutting edge (5) is adapted for cooperating with said lower die means (1) whereby to separate said pot (3) from said web (7), and wherein a portion of said lower die means (1) is movable relative to said mandrel (2) whereby to enable said second cutting edge (6) of said upper die means (4) to cooporate with said lower die means (1) whereby to form the substantially symmetrical flange on said pot (3).
