The invention concerns a non-mechanical rapid-printing device with a feed mechanism for a continuous paper strip (12). The paper feed mechanism is linked to a transfer station (17) which is equipped with paper-conveying elements (44) and which can be swung up against and away from a transfer carrier (16). In the feed position, with the transfer station swung away from the transfer carrier, the paper feed mechanism forms a widened channel (67) which protects the transfer carrier and into which the continuous paper strip is laid. In addition, for paper with edge perforations, a threader is provided which, after the paper strip has been laid into the widened channel (67), threads the paper at accurately spaced intervals by means of the edge perforations on to the paper-conveying elements (44) of the transfer station (17). |
