PURPOSE:To improve the disk exchanging speed and to ensure the assured actuation of an automatic disk changing device by providing a control means which transfers the 2nd disk to a reproduction mechanism while the 1st disk is kept waiting temporarily after the 1st disk is transferred to the reproduction mechanism and reproduced. CONSTITUTION:A disk 101 extracted out of a tray 100 is reproduced by a disk reproduction mechanism 580 via 1st and 2nd loading mechanisms 300 and 400. The 2nd disk is extracted out of the tray 100 and shifted to the mechanism 580 for reproduction via mechanisms 300 and 400 while the 1st disk with which the reproduction is through is kept waiting temporarily at a disk temporary waiting mechanism 600. In such a way, the disks 101 are successively stored again to the tray 100. A series of these actions are commaned from an operation part 900. As a result, the priority is given to the loading action to shorten the total time required for operation. In such a way, the disk changing speed is improved and the assured actuation of an automatic disk changing device with a simple constitution is attained.
