PURPOSE:To perform color simulation with fidelity to color specification data and with high accuracy by performing the simulation as applying feedback control so that the color specification data of light from a display can coincide with inputted color specification data. CONSTITUTION:The light introduced to an optical fiber 7 is photelectrically converted and is detected by a detector 9 after being spectrally separated by a spectroscope 8. A CPU 10 processes a signal from the detector 9, and calculates the spectral distribution of the light from a monitor requisite picture part, and furthermore, performs an arithmetic processing to convert the color specification data to the same color specification system as the one used when the color specification data is inputted. And a computed result is sent to a comparator 11, and the comparator 11 compares the color specification data of the light from a display 6 with the inputted color specification data, and a compared result is sent to a display control circuit 5 as a control signal, and the display control signal 5 performs control based on a fed back error signal. In such a way, the coincidence of the inputted color specification data with a (color) being displayed on the display can be obtained with high accuracy. |
