A core yarn is cabled with an effect yarn in an airjet texturiser, while an intermittent effect is obtd. by running the effect yarn over a rotary thread guide to give varying amplitude, and at the same time between feed guides which form an angle with axis of the rotary system, of less than 180 deg.C. ADVANTAGE - The variations possible are greatly increased by introduction of relatively simple mechanisms.
