<p>An energy monitor for a storage cell is located between the cell and a system drawing energy from the cell. The unit monitors parameters such as load, environment, discharge current, charging current which enables the provision of safe residual energy for emergency uses, and to provide safe working conditions for the cell. Preferably, there is a second cut-off point to prevent deep discharge of the cell, thereby maximizing cell life.</p> |
