PURPOSE:To improve adherence between hollow fibers upon dialysis from line to point contact and reduce the boundary film resistance of membrane surface so as to improve dialyzing efficiency by determining the values of the outside diameter R of hollow fiber dialyzing membrane, the number of crimps n and crimp amplitude L by specific inequalities. CONSTITUTION:The outside diameter R (unit: micron) of a hollow fiber dialyzing membrane is 200<=R<=500, the number of crimps n (unit: piece) per 10cm of said hollow fiber is 10<=n<=35 and the crimp amplitude L (unit: micron) is 0.65XR<=L<=R+50. The hollow fiber member of cellulose ester having such crimp, regardless of its module shape, retains a space between the hollow fibers, produces a turbulence of the dialyzing liq. on the fiber surface and reduces the boundary film resistance of the membrane surface, thereby obtaining an effective dialyzing efficiency. Its manufacture method is by bobbin heat treatment, which permits an easy manufacture by a convenient device. |
