<p>In order to improve the efficiency of a band saw, there is provided to have the band saw circulating vertically about fixed rolls (1, 14) arranged horizontally and to create a second cutting area (7) with the return section of the band which is displaced in parallel against the first section of the band by means of two deflecting pulleys (4) arranged at 90o with respect to the band. It is also possible to improve the efficiency of the band saw by means of two devices of this type arranged symmetrically and also displaceable one against the other. The efficiency of the saw band is also improved by providing on the control wheels of the band projections (17) which hook into the band recesses (16).</p> |
