<p>PURPOSE:To control a trap temperature at the optimum temperature by correcting a re-burning time air amount which is determined in opposition to atmospheric pressure and atmospheric temperature, on the basis of a trap entrance temperature at the time of the commencement of re-burning. CONSTITUTION:A controller 11 reads the outputs of a re-burning commencement time trap entrance temperature sensor 7, an atmospheric pressure sensor 3 and an atmospheric temperature sensor 4. And on the basis of the atmospheric pressure and atmospheric temperature thus read, a re-burning air amount is sought from a map previously memorized at the controller 11. And on the basis of a re-burning commencement time trap entrance temperature which has read the re-burning air amount thus sought, correction is made so that the re-burning air amount may become large when the trap entrance temperature is high, while the re-burning air amount may become small when the trap entrance temperature is low. As a result, the optimum control of the re-burning temperature of a trap 1 can be done without regard to the temperature condition of the trap 1, and the occurrence of the melting damage of the trap 1 and the bad combustion of can be prevented.</p> |
